Youth Music School, Hamburg, Germany

The new auditorium and foyer complete the redesign of the Hamburg Youth Music School, which was originally finished in 2000. The extension, developed ten years after the project's completion, is situated in the narrow space between the old and new sections of the school and creates a new passageway between the two buildings. The auditorium is located on the raised first floor, freeing up a large multipurpose room on the ground floor.

The auditorium is built in an irregular, circular shape. The facade is covered with thin brick in various colors that are coordinated with each other. The ornamental decoration of the facade represents sound waves and makes the building's function clearly visible from afar.
