FELDHAUS
Innovation, excellence, and responsibility.
Stagnation is not an option for Feldhaus . Throughout its more than 168-year history , Company has experienced steady growth, as the capital generated is continuously reinvested.
Feldhaus manages all processes, including marketing, sales, and production, from a single location. This allows for the immediate implementation of synergies, for example, regarding customer requirements and the associated technical clarifications. Furthermore, the owners' deep local ties to the site contribute to continuous investment in state-of-the-art technology, ensuring the company maintains its technological edge.
The conversion of the corner brick laying plant in 2018/2019 demonstrates our ongoing investment in resource conservation. This project, along with the "Construction of the Third Tunnel Kiln" project in Bad Laer, was subsidized by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the State of Lower Saxony (SER). The energy transition at Feldhaus is our current project, aiming to use self-generated "green" hydrogen as the key to firing CO2-neutral clinker. Our goal is to reduce CO2 emissions by 55 percent by 2030.
QUALITY ADVANTAGES
Outstanding quality with the highest level of reliability.
Feldhaus is synonymous worldwide with outstanding quality, durability, uncompromising reliability, and innovative strength. Clinker bricks for impressive facades and surfaces – Made in Germany.
We work closely with retailers, tradespeople, partners, and processors, and regularly monitor how the quality of our products is perceived in the market. Through innovative methods, we achieve continuous improvement of our products; customers in over 40 countries trust Feldhausclinker bricks.
The quality and durability of our products, our innovative strength and reliability, as well as our extensive product range, form the basis of our leading market position. Our factories are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Through continuous optimization, Feldhaus products, even in combination with external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), have secured a leading position in the international market for energy-efficient renovations and new construction.
As a reliable partner to retailers and tradespeople, we offer a comprehensive range of bricks and are constantly developing new products to meet current color and style trends. One example of our innovative spirit is the production of brick slips with a water-struck appearance and the physical properties of bricks.
The product range includes thin brick and facing brick , as well as robust Pavers and small paving stones for mosaic applications. All clinker products are fired at temperatures up to 1,200°C, making them particularly resistant to all weather conditions.
The beauty of it is that Feldhaus clinker bricks gain character over the years, thus inspiring builders and investors for decades.
One of the key quality features of Feldhaus Klinkeris their particularly low water absorption. While conventional handmade bricks can absorb up to 20 percent water, Feldhaus Klinkerwith a handmade look, for example, absorb only between two and five percent. Harmful weather conditions have no effect on the clinker bricks. The bricks remain clean and do not weather, and the surface retains its attractive appearance and color.

A house should be cool in summer and warm in winter. It should have an attractive facade that requires no maintenance, withstands wind and weather, and lasts for generations. With Feldhaus bricks, these requirements are easily met. Feldhaus Klinker protect and beautify new buildings and comply with the German Building Energy Act (formerly the Energy Saving Ordinance EnEV). With suitable insulation, heating costs and facade maintenance are permanently and noticeably reduced.
Feldhaus Klinker are also perfect for older buildings. They are simply laid with a slight gap in front of the load-bearing wall, without interfering with the existing building structure. thin brick are glued directly onto the existing facade using an external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS). This transforms old buildings into real eye-catchers.
All our products undergo a continuous monitoring and quality assurance process. Quality, warranty, and safety are Feldhaus top priorities. Every single Feldhaus employee – whether in product development or support – contributes to quality assurance.
At every stage of production, the staff of the Feldhaus laboratory have access to retained samples and materials, enabling them to quickly identify the cause of any quality issues. The staff conduct quality control tests on the fired clinker bricks. The special properties of a clinker brick—its low water absorption of up to six percent and its bulk density of at least 1.9 kg/dm³—are assigned to a compressive strength class. Although the clinker brick is fired to a high density, it still exhibits capillary action. The capillaries absorb water and release it again. This diffusion capacity is crucial for the wall structure and all weather conditions.
Our ceramic engineers are constantly experimenting with new clinker recipes in the laboratory. Products are tested in a small kiln, and surface treatments are explored. Firing samples of new clays provide information about color and shrinkage behavior.
In addition to the tests conducted by our own laboratory, we undergo independent external testing by the German Brick Quality Assurance Association (Güteschutz Ziegel eV).
Feldhaus Klinker meet the requirements of DIN EN 771-1 in conjunction with DIN 20000-401. thin brick are manufactured in accordance with these standards. Pavers comply with DIN EN 1344 and DIN 18503.
