Clinker:
The residential complex on Harnackring in Hamburg-Lohbrügge is owned by the Schiffszimmerer cooperative and underwent comprehensive thermal refurbishment as part of a modernization program. The aim was to bring the existing buildings up to a contemporary energy standard without sacrificing the district's characteristic clinker brick look. The thin brick R560NF from Feldhaus Klinker was used for the facade – a brick slip with a classic coal-fired finish that blends harmoniously into the North German urban landscape. The thin brick were applied to an external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS), thus enabling the combination of high insulation performance and an authentic clinker brick appearance. The project was supported in its planning by planAS Planungsgruppe für Architektur + Städtebau GmbH.

Modern Student Residence in Central Hanover At Klagesmarkt 17, in a central location in Hanover, a former office building from the 1970s was comprehensively revitalized and converted into a modern student residence with 98 micro-apartments. The compactly designed units offer contemporary living comfort of approximately 26 m², including a pantry kitchen. The new facade design references the Christ Church opposite and gives the building a striking urban presence. View project
