Clinker:
The residential complex on Harnackring in Hamburg-Lohbrügge belongs to the shipwrights' cooperative and underwent comprehensive thermal renovation as part of a modernization project. The aim was to bring the existing buildings up to contemporary energy standards without abandoning the characteristic brick look of the neighborhood. For the facade, Feldhaus Klinker 's thin brick R560NF was used – a brick slip with a classic coal-fired finish that blends harmoniously into the North German cityscape. The thin brick were applied to an external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS), thus combining high insulation performance with an authentic brick appearance. The project was planned by planAS Planungsgruppe für Architektur + Städtebau GmbH.

The aim was to enhance the urban design of the town entrance and to integrate the development harmoniously into the surrounding area.
