On Herderstrasse in Lübeck, multi-family buildings with brick facades have been constructed, creating a striking architectural effect through the strategic use of accent brickwork. The Feldhaus KlinkerR685NF – a hand-molded brick in a Hanseatic red hue, which presents a calm, understated appearance across the entire surface, while the accent brickwork at specific points adds visual interest. The combination of the restrained base color and the accentuated facade panels makes the buildings a prominent feature of Lübeck's cityscape. The project demonstrates how brickwork can be used to create different design layers without the need for additional materials.
