Project management: Chiyang Peng, Partner: Kingart GmbH, Project: Changde, China, Hanover in the heart of China.

Changde, a Chinese metropolis of six million inhabitants located in northeastern Hunan province, has created a tranquil quarter in the shadow of numerous 30- to 40-story high-rises. This quarter features winding alleyways, charming gabled roofs, and colorful facades in the late 19th-century North German architectural style. The main thoroughfare, designed as a pedestrian zone, is called "Hannoversche Straße." A vibrant mix of apartments, offices, restaurants, cafes, and shops has established itself in this small district. It showcases the Lower Saxon capital of Hanover at its best and serves as a bridge of friendship between Changde and Hanover.

We at Feldhaus Klinker are particularly proud that we were able to contribute to creating a realistic Hanoverian cityscape and an authentic atmosphere for business people and tourists in the central Chinese city of Changde.

Manufactured in Bad Laer , we supplied 10,032 square meters thin brick and 69,117 corner slips of nine different types for the facades via our exclusive distribution partner Kingart GmbH, based in Hanover.
