thin brick , like facing brick , are coarse ceramic products made from natural raw materials and fired at temperatures of 1,150 °C. Visually, a thin brick facade resembles a brick wall, and in terms of design, thin brick offer the same variety and freedom as facing brick . However, thin brick have a maximum thickness of only 25 mm, which offers many advantages:
- Due to their low weight thin brick can be applied almost anywhere.
- The overall reduced wall thickness results in a gain in living space while maintaining the same insulation values.
- Renovations do not require either foundation construction or roof extension.
Corner brick slips are used to clad building corners, lintels, and window reveals. The subsequent pointing of the facade makes it indistinguishable from a conventionally bricked wall.
At Feldhaus Klinker the corner brick slips are not sawn from whole bricks, but pressed directly into an angled mold during production. The development of this globally unique process represents a significant advancement in corner brick slip manufacturing. As a result, no brick waste is generated. Using this method, almost six times more corner brick slips can be produced from a single quantity of clay compared to the conventional carrier brick method. Natural resources are conserved, and the environmental friendliness of this building material is further enhanced.
With their different colors, formats and surfaces, clinker and corner slips with a suitable external thermal insulation composite system represent a real alternative to conventional clinker brickwork.
For the so-called special angles, strips are carefully and almost invisibly glued together or produced in one piece.
