Bad Laer's Innovation Day is attracting great interest.

Last weekend saw the first Bad LaerInnovation Day. Twenty local companies opened their doors to present themselves as employers and training providers. All Company offered an interesting program of events for visitors.

Many training opportunities at Feldhaus

The various departments used practical examples to showcase career opportunities within the company: The ceramicists presented the different raw materials needed to produce clinker bricks. The electronics technicians and industrial mechanics, in a joint effort, set up a robot to illustrate modern production technology. Information about the Company 's commercial operations rounded out the program.

Clinker production up close

Interested visitors learned how clinker bricks and brick slips are produced during a 90-minute factory tour. From raw material preparation and shaping to the firing process, all stages of the manufacturing process were explained. Afterwards, participants could put their newly acquired knowledge into practice and unleash their creativity in a pottery workshop.

Positive balance

"We achieved our goal of presenting the Company as a strong employer in Bad Laer and the surrounding area," summarizes Managing Director Nicola Feldhaus after the Innovation Day. Feldhaus Klinker offers various opportunities to introduce young people to the Company and its training programs. The project work with local schools has proven particularly successful.

Using a forklift in the conference room: The robot is being assembled.

Working with clay and engobes. Many creative ideas are now waiting to be fired in the kiln.

Made to last forever. Like a brick, this unique piece can outlast generations.

The robot was programmed to stack facing brick on top of each other in different patterns.

Don't be afraid of the technology: Here the robot is being "fed".
