Band instead of cardboard – a step towards the future
At Feldhaus Klinker flat brick slips were previously individually packaged in cardboard boxes and stacked on pallets. The "Resource-Efficient Optimization of Flat Brick Slip Packaging" project will eliminate the cardboard packaging for the slips. Instead, the slips will be bundled with a plastic band and shrink-wrapped on a pallet – without cardboard. The band will be printed with all necessary product information.
This step reflects our consistent commitment to environmental responsibility and resource conservation. As a pioneer in the production of thin brick , we combine product quality with future-oriented, ecological principles – and this will also be reflected in our packaging in the future.
Advantages at a glance:
- Less packaging material saves resources and reduces waste.
- Less waste – The volume of waste at the construction site is drastically reduced.
- Lower CO₂ emissions – through reduced material usage and optimized logistics.
- Easy recycling – space-saving and uncomplicated.
- Efficient handling – faster opening, less effort on the construction site.
- Transparent visibility – no unpacking necessary.
- Weatherproof stability – ideal for storage, transport and on-site use.
We are working towards CO₂-neutral production of our products and are getting a little closer to this goal every day.
