Berlin Architecture Prize 2020

With a one-year delay: Berlin Architecture Prize 2020 awarded

The winners of the Berlin Architecture Prize had to wait a year for the award ceremony: Due to the pandemic, the prize was recently awarded to last year's winners in a small, belated ceremony. Feldhaus Klinker a partner of the event, was represented by Sales Manager Jörg Breier and Key account manager Jens Fricke.

The Berlin Architecture Prize honors projects that successfully contribute to the sustainable development of Berlin's architectural culture and programming. Criteria considered include governance, functionality, environment, economics, diversity, context, genius loci, and aesthetics. From 153 submissions, the James Simon Gallery, the new TAZ building, and the Terrassenhaus Berlin / Lobe Block emerged as the winners. The jury consisted of Kevin Carmody (UK), Almut Grüntuch-Ernst (Germany), Hetty Berg (Germany), Jason Bruges (UK), Johan König (Germany), Fuensanta Nieto (Spain), Christina Gresser (Germany), and Philipp Eichstätt (Germany).
