New construction of a primary school For the new construction of the primary school, the municipality of Ahrensfelde invested approximately 25 million euros. In addition to the main building, the new construction includes an integrated after-school care center, a cafeteria, and a sports hall. KiTa and Multi-Family House in Selm In July 2022, a modern residential complex consisting of three large multi-family buildings in a grey clinker brick look was built at Am Pädagogenweg 7 in Selm. The buildings blend harmoniously into the natural surroundings and offer a direct view of the adjacent forest area „Zechenbusch“. The design was created by architect Alexander Benthaus, who is very pleased with the positive interest in the apartments. The new buildings are part of an urban development concept that, in addition to residential use, also provides for the construction of a daycare center to meet the growing demand for childcare places in Selm. The measure fulfills important social and infrastructural functions and contributes to the sustainable development of the district. View project
