Student Residence Hall in Mannheim. On the Spinelli site in Mannheim, an ensemble of student residence halls and a social housing building with a shared brick facade was built by 2023. The buildings form the northern edge of the block facing Anna-Sammet-Straße and Quartiersplatz. Ninety student rooms are grouped around meeting areas, complemented by a communal lounge. The outdoor space flows seamlessly into the Quartiershof courtyard. Both buildings create a homogenous urban landscape through their facade language and structure. View project
"Clouth Quartier" in Cologne: Two residential buildings with 17 units were built in Cologne in 2018 for the Energie+ construction group, including an underground parking garage and a common room in the old gatehouse. The buildings meet passive house standards and generate energy via photovoltaic systems on the roofs. The monolithic construction, with 49 cm thick brick walls, features rounded corners and is clad with profiled brick slips. Folding shutters from Falter provide effective sun protection and allow for planting in the windows. View project
Ibbenbüren Südring Office Building. The design's objective is to achieve maximum interior flexibility and self-sufficiency with regard to building technology and automation. The three-story building's exterior presence is characterized by a clear, horizontal façade structure, further enhanced by the precast concrete elements. The interior structure follows a strict grid pattern, allowing for the flexible division of offices of varying sizes. The chosen construction of a prestressed concrete slab further maximizes this flexibility on each floor and allows for complete column-free interior construction. View project
