A look behind the scenes: diverse insights into ceramic production at Feldhaus Klinker
In Holy Week, Feldhaus Klinker opens its doors to all students who want to get a practical insight into the fascinating world of ceramic production. The aim is to show the variety of tasks and work areas within ceramic production - from raw material to finished clinker.
Interested participants accompany the complete manufacturing process of a clinker: starting with a visit to a clay pit to the testing and mixing of the raw materials up to the shape and the burning process. The final quality control - including with regard to clay color, surface quality and dimensions - is also part of the program.
The individual work steps are demonstrated both on the laboratory scale and directly in the production halls and can be actively tried out. In this way, the participants not only receive theoretical knowledge, but also gain valuable practical experience.
With this offer, Feldhaus Klinker is particularly aimed at young people who have interest in artisan and technical professions and are enthusiastic about production processes. Openness, curiosity and the willingness to get your hands dirty are expressly desired.
The events take place in the morning from 8:00 a.m. to around 12:00 p.m.
