Energy transition at Feldhaus Klinker - Update
The path to the CO2-free production of bricks came a little closer again
The expansion of self -produced renewable energy started in summer continues to take shape. As a further milestone in development, the construction work at the gas transfer station on the factory premises has recently been completed. "Due to the new gas transfer station, we are now able to add a maximum of 30% hydrogen to the natural gas required for the burning process," explains plant manager Alexander Schröder.
The expansion of the photovoltaic systems is also progressing. At the moment, about half of the factory hall roofs are equipped with PV modules, which corresponds to an output of approx. 4 MW/p. The networking of the system in the form of a ring line and the construction of several transformer stations runs in parallel. The necessary line network requires cable cross -sections, which are also completely new for an Company like Feldhaus Klinker .
The coming winter months will be used to complete the network infrastructure for the existing PV modules.
